Scattered showers in Mumbai

Rains will continue to play truant in Mumbai over the next 48 hours. "The monsoon trough has developed at the foot of the Himalayas which will result in rainfall there and the coastal regions of Kerala. When the trough moves south, central and west India will receive rainfall, but it is unclear about when we can expect such an activity. However, we are hopeful that it will rain in the next two days," said Dr R V Sharma, deputy director, Indian Meteorological Department.
